Week 5 to week 6 has brought out ALL the energy in these little guys, and sucked out ALL the energy from me. HA! Let me tell you that these puppies love people. They love being near us, having their future families visit them, and get so excited when anyone comes into their room. (They live in our front living room.) I find several of them sitting and watching us as we go about our daily lives. Others are more demanding in wanting us to let them out our their pen to be under our feet. Ha!
Curriculum & Care: We have been going outside in the grass and on my patio daily. Each day, we work the puppies with some sort of new experience… whether it’s a location (grass vs. driveway vs. living room vs. patio), or an obstacle, or new sound or object. Today, we also started them on hard kibble and they loved it! This week we’ll start taking car rides to expose them to vehicles, as well as shutting the doors on their kennels for short periods of time.
Attention Future Families!
Evaluations will happen the January 8-9th. Puppy picks will happen immediately afterward. All families should have received a “prepare for puppy” email today and can access the “Go-Home” page at the button below for resources to prep.
Reminder: Go ahead and make your post-homecoming vet appointment now! Puppies will need to visit your veterinarian within 3 days of going home.
